Moretz plays a character who is relentless bullied until she discovers she has psychological powers. Moretz says this is the first movie in which she tried out method acting, and attempted to stay on character the entire time that she was on set.
3. Selena Gomez and Lorde
British artist Lorde’s been at the top of the charts lately with her hit single, Royals. Recently, Lorde was asked about her opinion of another young starlet, Selena Gomez’s, music. Lorde didn’t hold any punches back; she says she’s a feminist and is sick of the portrayal of women as per songs like Come and Get It, which seems to imply a less than equal relationship footing.
4. Elle Magazine Responds to Backlash
According to the latest entertainment news, Elle magazine recently featured plus-sized actress Melissa McCarthy on their cover, a move that was criticized because of Elle’s decision to cover her up in an oversized jacket. Critics point out that alternative covers for the issue show smaller stars like Reese Witherspoon in figure hugging and skin showing clothing, and it seems questionable that the curvy actress is the only one who had to cover up. Elle has responded saying that the stylists work with stars to make sure they wear pieces they feel good in.
